Welcome to the home page of the Baffin Regional Chamber of Commerce Background / Why become a member of the BRCC? / BRCC Links / Contact Info   Background The Baffin Regional Chamber of Commerce (BRCC) was created in 1987 to give Baffin businesses a better facility with which to promote their business throughout the Baffin Region, the Northwest Territories (Nunavut was part of the NWT in those days) and the rest of Canada. In the past the BRCC has provided its members with workshops, seminars and meetings to help owners and managers improve their business and leadership skills. The workshops have been held throughout the Baffin region in an effort to touch base with all communities, ensuring healthy business contacts everywhere in the region. The BRCC is based out of Iqaluit, the capital of the territory of Nunavut, officially recognized by Canada on April 1, 1999. [back to top] Why become a member of the BRCC? The BRCC works on your behalf to ensure that the Baffin is an attractive place for business opportunities and that government policies will benefit our members. Our goal is to promote and strengthen the business community in the Baffin. Membership in the Baffin Regional Chamber of Commerce brings a number of benefits to your company.
